The swim team is holding an event this Saturday which will go until 10:00am. We'll give them time to clean up -- which means we'll be opening at 10:30, just a little later than usual. Thank you for your understanding.
We are proud to be located in such a great community, and value the relationship we have with our neighbors. We remind you to be considerate, especially to those who live closest to the pool. When you are parking in front of a home, we encourage you to be mindful of driveways. You’ll notice that this year we have additional bike racks available. Consider riding your bike or carpooling to make a smaller impact on both the environment and the neighbors. Lastly, please be respectful of noise levels, especially at early and late hours.
Also, on a note of being neighborly, we’re pleased to sponsor another Neighborhood Night Out - Tuesday, August 1, 2017 from 6-8pm. Your neighbors are invited to join us for swimming and free ice cream - so put it on your calendar. And remember to be nice neighbors.
You might notice that we are no longer stacking all of the chairs every evening. If you could instead just make sure to leave them lined up neatly when you leave, that would be awesome. Friday nights are the exception -- they all get stacked then to make Saturday mowing easier. Thanks!
Come enjoy an evening of free swimming, free ice cream, and getting to know your neighbors. You do not need to be a member to enjoy this event! Please let us know how many will attend, and then specify how many of those will be swimming. This is important so we know how many lifeguards we will need that evening. RSVP by July 30th. See you at the pool!
We love our lifeguards at SCCA! We'll be decorating the guard shack and going out of our way this week to help them know just how much we appreciate them. You can help us make it a special week. Here are a few ideas you might consider:
Bring in a homemade goodie or a snack to share with them.
You or your kids could color a picture or make a card. Write it to all guards, or write it to a specific guard who you feel has made a difference.
Drop a comment in the mason jar at the guard shack this week -- it is especially for positive feedback for our lifeguards.
(and lastly) Give them positive verbal feedback. Are the bathrooms clean? Thank them. Are they playing with the kids and helping create a great environment at SCCA? Let them know that you notice. Have other nice things to say? Share the love.
